I have been visiting and camping at Backbone State Park since I was Three 1969. It is one of the most special parks in the state of Iowa and I believe it was one of the first parks in the state going back to the 1930s. A highlight used be in the 60s and 70s visiting the hatchery and feeding the Trout in there circular ponds. They would feed and swarm at the fish pellets.
Marisol named after an artist from New York City from the 1970s. I discovered the Artist Back in the 70s when I was 5 years old from an Art Book Bob gave to the family.
