 April Saturday 29   A call is made to Lake Bemidji. The lake is iced over but Lake Itasca is not. The latter is beautiful news, I shall have to wait a week for the ice to fully melt off. My planned date of departure May 1st is sadly broken. I am eager to go.

    The Temperatures in Minnesota are in the mid 50s and 30s at night. I will have to have some light weight cold gear to wear for this early Spring Adventure.
