Backwater South of Quad Cities by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

 Backwater South of the Quad Cities on the Mississippi River.  I pulled off the main channel into a backwater full of islands. I found an island that had been partially cleared for a fish camp. I slept on this little square piece of ground surrounded by poison ivy.
