Poetry from the book {Bunny Hop} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas
Life is a series of actions and reactions
But who is really controlling this mechanism or mistake
Life is no mere movie script, life is a book of merry go round dreams
This life and dreams, what is it
The fate of each human being played out to its mark
The only people in this world are the lucky and unlucky
We all live in the desperate search for that money that will make our lives better
I have a feeling of dejavue, that I have done all this before
Life is a circle of no truth where it may seem that a higher force prevails
We live in a world where the chimp is our ancestor, our evolution, and the porpoise was just shy of being us.

Doors to Woodrow Wilson Elementary by Artist Troy Richard Thomas
These doors at Woodrow Wilson Elementary are the doors that I waited in front of in the morning till the bell rang to enter. I also had to wait on the other side of the doors to leave at 3:30. Everything that was once big is now small.

Wapsipinicon River by Artist Troy Richard Thomas
My Grandparents lived on the Wapsi River. Every time we visited the farm we would go down to the river and play on the island that was created by my Aunts husband Ed. He shoveled out a little piece of the bank and the river took over and widened the channel. This is the first river I canoed and floated on. It was always a joy to be on the river.

Peace is found through the long winding journey of nature.

Poem from the book {The Lion and the Sun} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas
The lake like a giant boiling caldron
Throws up these giant waves that scoop you up like an elevator
You come falling down off the crest, you slap hard in the trough
You wait for the next ride
Paddle for an hour bronco style
Till you see the sandy beach and you don't worry anymore
There is no rock wall to cause you harm
Just a rough landing into the sand
At least you hope it is sand, and not sandstone.
