Black Canyon of the Yellowstone by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

Hiking the trail along the Yellowstone River we came to a heavy carrion smell or bear sign. We felt something watching us in the bushes along the river. We had these silly bells lashed to our packs, they swayed back and forth making noise. A week before someone had been attacked by a grizzly on this trail. We went a little further down the trail, and decided to turn around and head back to the trail head.

Poem from the book {Bunny Hop} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

                   Still waters, whitewater

Riding the elevator of ocean waves

Sailing out there somewhere where the sea is blue

The sea so blue, except where the pirates pee.
