Maytag Factory Worker by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

The Maytag Company once a thriving company with one of the best washers and dryers on the market. Was closed down by the greed of corporate leaders, Wallstreet , and outside hiring of people who didn't care about Newton, Iowa.

Poetry from the book the {Lion and the Sun} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

Father and son Emilio on a canoe trip

               "Emilio", go get my underwear

"Emilio", go fetch me some water

"Emilio", where is my black bag?

"Emilio", Oh I forgot what I wanted

                 "Emilio", pick up the canoe

               "Emilio", Go brush your teeth

                  "Emilio", bring my dinner

                 "Emilio", where is the salt?

"Emilio", I also need the pepper

"Emilio", It is time for me to got to bed

"Emilio", bring my pillow to me.

Poetry from the book {Lion and the Sun} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

Little Queen of darkness with an ugly soul filled to the brim with puss and bile

A German twat who only smiles when she is hurting someone

It is never really a smile at all, but an average persons jealous pig like grin

If you're average and you know it, clap your hooves

There's just nothing good about this girl who poses as the good christian puritan but stinks of schadenfreude and ugliness that serves the Devil better

I talk to this girl for 30 seconds and she harasses me for years

A woman without a heart is nothing at all

This person has a college degree and what has the school system produced but another incredibly ugly human being.

There's nothing out there for me anymore

I am bone tired and burned out

All I can do is stretch out that paddle blade and push through the water of life

It feels so good to be with you and roll in the roller coaster of waves

I am traveling around the country showing art to people who don't seem to care

Sitting in an art fair tent for peoples shits and giggles

I am not giving up but the struggling artist gig has taken it's toll

I travel back to Grand Marais to see what I can see

I hope that Thunder Bay has something to add to my beautiful life

I have traveled many places and have seen so many beautiful things

Canada has a majesty of of endless lakes and streams

I am back in a place where beavers smoke fine pipes, wear dinner jackets with funny emblem patches, and drink gin and tonics

I still wake up on the granite with the gentle morning sound of the lakes waves slapping the shore

Still searching for the peace that never comes.

                                  The Police
                              Protect the Rich
                                       And
                             Control the Poor
Hassle and incarcerate for minor offenses
The byproduct of a Heartless Economy.
