Kadunce River is 10 miles north of Grand Marais, Minnesota. Nice beach to put the boat in or hang out at the shore.

I spent the day camping at Lambs Resort watching the waves smash into the rocks. The waves didn't clear till the next day in the afternoon.

The humanoid stands in the wind, he bends and doesn't break

             The breeze runs cool and moist

       The knifes edge crawls across his throat

            Moon falls like a playground ball

          Children run into the snakes mouth

   Grown capsules come out of the snakes anus

    Grown humans break out of the capsules

         Life and security for all in society

      A good poet could be writing your life

People really don't have much to do other than hurt each other

But why the animal hatred, why the need for love

Peace is in the forest, peace is in the rolling water

    We drip into a watercolor, dry, and crack

A child stabs you in the back, while your looking for food.

I put my kayak in here often to head South or North. There is a nice little beach to the right of the boat ramp. Ionia Beach is just on the North side. It has large rounded fist sized rocks that would make landings interesting, fortunately you just land on the other side.
