Old Southern Dog by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

This is a dog laying in front of my hotel door in St Francissville, Louisiana. The dog smelled like a pile of farts. St Franciss is on the Mississippi River

Steroid Man by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

I was walking trail and I come upon this muscled bound moron who is attacking his flashlight. He was crushing it into his forehead, and tearing it to pieces. I asked him if he put in fresh batteries. In a rage he said he hadn't thought of that.

Poem from the book {The Lion and the Sun} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

I play with my girlfriends cat while she's away

I put on my gloves and rough house with him

He tries to crawl under the easy chair but I drag him back

I catapult him onto the sofa and nearly shave his head off with the ceiling fan

I throw him down the stairway where he lands on the drum set

I put the cat in my gym bag and do the tilt a whirl

The door opens and I rush for a seat in front of the tv

My girlfriend asks me what I've been doing to her cat

She eyes me suspiciously as the cat hides behind her legs

I tell her that I've been watching television the whole time and that I was mightily hurt by her insinuations

I sit like an angel watching young women in leotards squat and thrust, and do pelvic exercises (an 80s exercise show often watched by couch potatoes)

My girlfriend sides with the cat , turns off the tv and tells me to leave. (a very cruel and horrible woman, not much of a host really, who forced me to eat cat hair pizza).

Beaver Damnation by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

                      Atikaki Provincial Park
Beaver Damnation is about a mile of winding chutes, and beaver dams through a high grass marsh. One large beaver dam about five feet tall, than more to come.

Poetry from the book {The Lion and the Sun} by Artist Troy Richard Thomas

                    The beach at Gooseberry

A little girl throws rocks at my boat

I throw a rock at her that hits her in the thigh

She looks up at me and throws a reign of terror at me (a fist full of rocks)

I wing a rock at her that hits her in the stomach in her little white dress

She throws a rock that hits me in the cheek, another whacks me in the ear

               This means war little woman

She throws rocks at me machine gun style, while I use a splatter gun affect

Her Mom comes over and tells us to cut the crap out

She drags her child away like a stubborn dog that refuses to walk

I throw a rock that hits her Mom in the right butt cheek

Well it's time for me to move on

I shove off and paddle for the lighthouse.
